How they Survive:

Fennec foxes are the smallest foxes in the world and and they live in the Sahara desert and North Africa. Their distinctive bat like ears radiate body heat and they help the foxes cool. They have long thick hair that insulates them during cold nights and protects them from the sun. Fennec Foxes hairy feet helps them with snow, hot sand, and as shovels for digging. They also have creamed color fur with a black-tipped tail.Their homes are made in underground dens or small communities and up to 10 individuals live in each dune. They are more on the social side since they live with 10 other individuals. The male foxes mark their territories with urine. Both parents defend the burrow site, but the female is the only one who can enter. They are opportunistic eaters and forage for plants, and also eat rodents, eggs, reptiles, and insects.
